Fátima São Simão

Biography

Fátima São Simão was born in Porto, in 1981, where she completed the her degree in Economics, at the Faculty of Economics of Porto. She lived in the UK, where she completed her MA in Cultural Policy and Management, at City University of London. Since 2009, Fátima works at UPTEC - Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, first as the responsible for the creative industries center, being now the director of development of the organization. Fátima is the executive director of futureplaces.org - medialab for citizenship and public lead of Creative Commons Portugal. She is a researcher of the Arts and Design PhD Programme, at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, where she studies the effects of copyright in the creation of economic and cultural value in Portugal.
