BiographyCatarina is a communication designer from Viana do Castelo, living and working in Lisbon. She has studied Design at the University of Aveiro, Politecnico di Milano, ESAD Matosinhos and Central St Martins and has worked as a freelancer in the field since 2009.
Either researching or designing, the main topics of interest and experience concentrate on visual identity and communication strategies. She works with different collaborators and each project has a content-driven approach and is an opportunity to research and experiment.
After working in places like London, Mexico City or Porto she has gained experience in the fields of branding, editorial design, typography or exhibition design. In 2016 she won the competition set by Galicia Auditorium to design the visual identity for the exhibitions of that year.
She works as a design consultant for the research centre Fraunhofer AICOS in the fields of ageing and user centered design.
Since 2017 she also teaches at IADE University in Design BA and Master in Design and Visual Culture.
